    The victim of a homicide believed to have occurred on July 1 at Crystal Springs, just south of Fairbury, has been positively identified as 28 year old Marc C. Jarrell of Lincoln. An autopsy was completed in Douglas County Wed., July, 10. Full results were not made available as of press time. Jefferson County Sheriff Nels Sorensen confirmed that the victim was shot.

    Aubrey Trail was found guilty of the first degree murder of 24-year old Sydney Loofe on Thurs., July 10 in Wilber. The jury of six men and six women deliberated for three hours before reaching a verdict.
