  • Central School Bus Drop Off Location Moved To F Street

    Fairbury Public Schools has made a request to move the No Parking Bus Loading signs at Central School from their current location on the north side of 8th Street from F to G Streets, to a new location on the east side of F Street from 8th to 9th Streets.

  • Grable Appears in Court

    Caitlyn H. Grable, 21, of Odessa, Texas, appeared in County Court in the custody of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. Grable was arrested in connection with a homicide that occurred on July 1 of this year at Crystal Springs in Fairbury. She is charged as an accessory to murder, a class 2A felony.

    After an open house last week, Diller-Odell officials gave an update on the status of the new gymnasium in Odell.
    Superintendent Mike Meyerle said the cost of the gym was $4.5 million. Adding in the cost of parking lot, office and entry-way renovations at the high school, the total bill is $4.9 million, according to Meyerle.

  • Masons Lodge Walking Hand-In-Hand 
With Fairbury For Nearly 150 Years

    Fairbury was founded 150 years ago and almost as long ago, the Masons opened a lodge, helping build the foundation of the community.
    Jeremy Engelman is presently past Master and current secretary for the Masons Lodge 35 of Fairbury and noted that there is a really nice mix of age ranges for members on that roster, from men in their mid-20s all the way to men in their 80s and 90s.
