From the Fairbury Nebraska Police Department:
Dalton Meyer Age 19 of Fairbury, Nebraska was arrested on March 28, 2018 at 1612 hours for Alleged Attempt
of a Class 2 Felony (Robbery) (3 Felony), Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit Felony (2 Felony), Possession
of Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person (3 Felony), Terroristic Threats (3A Felony).
On March 27, 2018 at approximately 9:17pm, the Fairbury Police Department was notified that a male subject was in the lobby wanting to report an attempted robbery. When officers arrived, they were informed by the victim that he was at the Fairbury City Park near the basketball court skateboarding. While he was there, a male subject identified as Dalton Meyer came up to him and asked to speak with him in the car. Dalton and the victim got into the vehicle. While they were talking, Dalton pulled out a large knife, which the victim said exceeded 6 inches and put the blade against the victim’s rib cage and demanded the victim to hand over the car keys. The victim tried to calm Dalton down but Dalton told him to shut his mouth. The victim was able to exit the vehicle with his car keys and ran from the scene to get help. As the victim was running from the area, he could see Dalton running also. The victim was able to reach a friend’s house and they brought him to the police station. After the interview, officers went back to the location and observed that the vehicle had been rummaged through. Law Enforcement attempted to locate Dalton but were not successful. An arrest warrant was obtained and on March 28, 2018 and Dalton was arrested without incident at a residence in Fairbury, Nebraska.
