  • Mustang Mini Student  Council Created At Meridian

    Meridian Public Schools students are getting in the holiday spirit. The Mini Mustang Student Council is gearing up for their first Reindeer Run through Daykin. Fourth grade teacher Mrs. Echoe Davis is one of the teachers involved with the Mini Mustang Student Council. The Mini Mustang Student Council has had a busy first year. 

  • Meridian Homecoming Festivities
    Friday, September 14, 2018 1:28 PM
    Meridian will be having their Homecoming football game on Friday, September 21 at 7 pm against Falls City Sacred Heart. The dance is Saturday.night at Meridian at 7 pm. The crowning of the king and queen will take place immediately after the football game on the football field. A community pep rally will be held Wednesday at 7 pm also on the football field.

    Brianna Barton will be representing Alexandria Auxiliary Post #194 at Girls State this summer. She is the daughter of Ross and Joy Barton of Alexandria.   Brianna is an active member in numerous extracurricular activities including; volleyball, cheer, dance, track, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), National Honor Society (NHS), student council, enrichment, speech, show choir, choir, drama, wrestling student manager, and quiz bowl. She is also a current 4-H member for Thayer County. Brianna’s current hobbies include painting, drawing, spending time with animals, and spending time with her family and friends.

    Thayer Central Wins District Meet
    Thayer Central played host to eight total schools this year for the C2-4 District Speech meet, held on Monday, March 12th.  The Titan Talkers made sure the day was one for the record books by qualifying 10 students for State in 9 events while securing the District Title.

    The season of giving has started a little early at Meridian Public School as the National Honor Society kicked off their annual Mustang Merriment program. The NHS Sponsor and School Counselor, Lisa Hermsmeier, is continuing on the gift giving program for its fourth year at Meridian Public School.
