Plenty of changes have occurred with the issuing of open burning permits. On February 6, there will be an informational session at the rural fire station from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on February 11, the department invites landowners as well as the general public to attend an open house at the new station from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Prescribed burn applications will be reviewed and approved at both events, and visitors are welcome to tour the station and enjoy the provided refreshments.
