$25 Million Claim Filed Against Gage County Attorney

A $25 million tort claim has been filed against Gage County Attorney Roger Harris on behalf of the family of a Blue Springs woman, who was the victim of what law enforcement described as a murder-suicide last year.
A tort is a wrongful act or an infringement of a right.
Brooke Koch, 40, was killed on April 6, 2021. According to Gage County law enforcement, she was killed by her estranged partner, Jason Arnold, 49, who then killed himself.
Attorney Dustin Garrison filed the claim on Friday, April 1, 2022. Garrison told FJN that a Tort is a necessary first step before filing a lawsuit.
