In Jefferson County Court
Rodrigo E. Olivares-Morales, age 41, of Fairbury, failed to appear in Jefferson County Court for sentencing on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. Judge Linda Bauer issued a warrant for his arrest.
Jody W. Duke, 40, of Fairbury, was sentenced to one year in jail with credit for 65 days times served, for violating conditions of his bond. Duke pleaded guilty to a charge of obstructing government operations. Judge Bauer said probation was not an option, “I think we have exhausted every effort at our end.”
Carson R. York, age 20, was arraigned in Jefferson County Court on Wednesday, March 8. He is charged with five counts: possession of a controlled substance, a class 3A felony; driving under a suspended license, possession of less than one pound but more than one ounce of marijuana and minor in possession of alcohol, all class 3 misdemeanors; and possession of drug paraphernalia, an infraction.
In Jefferson County District Court
Marzeanis Coleman, age 34, of Lincoln, is accused of participating in the robbery of the now defunct McDonald’s Restaurant in Fairbury on April 16, 2022. He is charged with robbery, a class 2 felony; first degree assault, also a class 2 felony; possession of a stolen firearm, a class 2A felony; operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest, a class 4 felony; and first offense reckless driving, a class 3 misdemeanor. A trial was originally set for March 28-30, 2023. However, a motion to “absolute discharge” has delayed the trial until May 16-18, 2023.
In Gage County Court
Timothy S. Benson, age 25, of Barneston, is charged with third degree domestic assault, a class 1 misdemeanor.
Logan A. Retherford, age 23, is charged with three counts of possession of a firearm while committing a felony, a class 2 felony punishable by a minimum of on year and a maximum of 50 years in prison; two counts of possession of a controlled substance, a class 3 felony; and one count of possession or obtaining a legend drug, a class 1 misdemeanor.
Michael D. Kiel, age 32, of Wymore, is charged with third-degree assault.
Dalton J. Johnson, age 23, of Blue Springs, is charged with first offense DUI and a stop sign violation.
Derrie J. Seeman, age 41, of Blue Springs, was fined $500 and sentenced to nine months probation for first offense DUI. His driver’s license was revoked for 60 days.
