In Jefferson County CourtMichael J. Brezna, age 57, of Fairbury, is charged with DUI, a class W misdemeanor.George W. Brinton, age 69, of Fairbury, is charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), a class 4 felony.Lynn William Vieselmeyer, age 28, of Fairbury, is charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, a class 1D felony punishable by three to 50 years in prison. He is also charged with possession of a deadly weapon (a knife) by a prohibited person, a class 3 felony punishable by four years in prison and nine to 24 months of post-release supervision. As a convicted felon, the defendant is prohibited from possession a firearm or other deadly weapons. In 2013, he was convicted in Lancaster County of burglary and theft by unlawful taking, both class 3 felonies.Theodore Verdugo, age 37, of Fairbury, pleaded guilty to possession of one ounce of marijuana, an infraction for which he was fined $300, and possession of drug paraphernalia, also an infraction,for which he was fined $100.Eric B. Beard, age 33, of Fairbury, was fined $100 after pleading Guilty to driving without proof of insurance.In Jefferson County District CourtDalton A. McMaster, age 29, of Fairbury, has reached a plea agreement with the state in a motor vehicle homicide case that occurred on November 10, 2020. McMaster has a prior conviction for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol (DUI) in Marshall County, Kansas, on May 6, 2016. That conviction would make the current charge a class 2 felony punishable by up to 50 years in prison. According to the plea agreement, McMaster pleaded No Contest to a reduced charge of misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide, punishable by up to one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.Real Estate:Oct. 17: Clinton F.
