In Jefferson County CourtRaquel A. Bredemeier, age 30, of Lincoln, is charged with unintentional motor vehicle homicide, a class 2A felony, and DUI, a class W misdemeanor. The charges stem from a three-vehicle accident on Highway 136 last year that left a Deshler man, Samuel L. Lindley, dead and two others injured. A trial is scheduled for May 16 to the 19, 2023. County Attorney Joseph Casson told the court that the State was, “Currently exploring a possible settlement in the case.” The deadline for a plea agreement is April 13.Marzeanis Coleman, age 34, and Michall A. Gillians, age 42, both of Lincoln, appeared in Jefferson County Court on March 2, 2023, in connection with the robbery of the now defunct McDonald's Restaurant in Fairbury on April 16, 2022. Coleman is scheduled for a trial on March 28 to March 30, 2023. He remains in custody. Gillians is free on bond. His attorney, Benjamin Murray told the court, “there was a “chance this case may be dismissed.”Dylan L. Busing, age 29, of Fairbury, was arraigned in Jefferson County District Court on March 2, 2023. He is charged with first degree sexual assault of a child, a class 1B felony. Because the alleged victim is a minor, the arrest affidavit and other court documents are under seal. Busing pleaded Not Guilty.Skiler A. Henry, age 23, of Fairbury, withdrew from a plea agreement. She was originally charged with first offense DUI. According to County Attorney Joseph Casson, the defendant originally told law enforcement she was the driver of the vehicle. Later, she allegedly changed her story and said she was a passenger and another person was driving. The plea agreement included a reduced charge of false reporting. Henry now has a new attorney, Dustin Garrison.Harlee D. Kaderabek, age 25, of Daykin, plead Guilty to theft by unlawful taking, value less than $500, a class 2 misdemeanor. Sentencing is set for May 3 to give the defendant time to pay restitution.John Seefus, age 51, failed to appear for Jefferson County District Court ad a warrant was issued for his arrest.David Eugene Sutton, age 56, of Diller, was scheduled to be sentenced in Jefferson County Court on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, but failed to appear. A warrant was issued for his arrest.In Gage County CourtJarod R. Hicks, age 36, of Blue Springs, was originally charged with theft by receiving stolen property with a value of $1,500 to $5,000, a class 4 felony, and driving while his license was revoked, a class 2 misdemeanor. In accordance with a plea agreement, Hicks pleaded No Contest to a reduced charge of attempt of a class 4 felony, which is class 1 misdemeanor, and the charge of driving under a revoked license was dismissed. Sentencing is scheduled for April 7.Mindy J. Pyle, age 52, of Wymore, is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance, a class 4 felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, an infraction. The case has been bound over to Gage County District Court.
