Fairbury Woman Facing Felony Drug Charges from 2022 Accepted into Drug Court

A Fairbury woman arrested for alleged drug sales in 2022 has been accepted into drug court.Drug court are specialized court docket programs that offer offenders the opportunity to enter long-term drug treatment and agree to court supervision rather than receiving a jail sentence.Tina Marie Hinrichs, age 56, appeared in Jefferson County District Court on Thursday, July 3, 2025. David J.A. Bargen was the presiding judge. Hinrichs was charged with two counts of possession with the intent to deliver methamphetamine. One of those counts is for an amount between 10 to 27 grams of methamphetamine, making it a class 1D felony punishable by three to 50 years in prison. The other count is for less than 10 grams, making it a class 2 felony punishable by one to 50 years in prison. According to the Arrest Affidavit for Warrant, on September 14, 2022, a confidential informant for the Nebraska State Patrol provided Hinrichs with $220 in Nebraska State Patrol drug funds for the purchase of approximately 10 grams of methamphetamine. This transaction occurred in Fairbury, under the direct supervision and surveillance of the Nebraska State Patrol. The affidavit also alleges that, on September 20, 2022, Hinrichs was provided with $80 in Nebraska State Patrol drug funds, again by a confidential informant, for the purchase of three grams of methamphetamine. This transaction also occurred in Fairbury, under the direct supervision and under Nebraska State Patrol surveillance. A Nebraska State Crime Laboratory report dated August 16, 2024, indicates an analysis was conducted and the suspected substances were confirmed to be methamphetamine, a schedule II controlled substance.
