Leslie Elberta Huddleston

Leslie Elberta Huddleston was born on May 29, 1940, in Santa Ana, California, the daughter of Leslie Frank Sackman and Margaret Elizabeth “Maggie” (Shane) Sackman. She passed away at her home in Davenport, Nebraska, on September 25, 2025, at the age of 85 years, 3 months, and 27 days. Leslie graduated from Garden Grove (California) High School. She was united in marriage to Robert W. Hollander in 1956 and to this union four children were born, Brenda, Bruce, Bobbi, and Bambi. Robert passed away in May 2002. Leslie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a homemaker, and then later joined Robert on the road as an over-the-road semi-truck driver. In her spare time, she loved knitting, sewing, fishing and worked on genealogy, and had been researching her heritage and lineages for over 50 years. Later in life, Leslie married Millard McVay Jr. in June 2007, who passed in June of 2020, then she married Edgar N. Huddleston in November 2020. Edgar passed away in March of 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Margaret, husbands Robert Hollander, Millard McVay Jr. and Edgar Huddleston, son Bruce Wayne Hollander, sister Mildred “Millie” Donan, brothers Leslie Frank “Johnny or John” Sackman and Harold Arthur Sackman. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Johnson, Bambi Hollander, Bobbi Hilderbrand, and her husband David; grandchildren Jedediah Hollander, Bear Hawkins, Alexandria Hollander, and Kimberley Hollander, Stepdaughter Angela Frisina-Holman, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews. A graveside memorial service will take place at the Hubbell Cemetery in Hubbell, Nebraska in the spring of 2026.
