Unfortunately for the home squad, the visitors came away with a 46-38 win.FHS was up 13-4 after one quarter and the teams were tied, 17-all at the half.Scoring didn’t pick up until the fourth quarter after FHS was down a point, 26-25 going into the fourth quarter. Sandy Creek outscored FHS 20-13 to close out the game.Senior Jonah Parrack led the Jeffs in scoring with 13 points and had four rebounds, one steal and a team high two blocks. Jerik Mans had 10 points, five boards for FHS while Brodie Prellwitz had seven points, six rebounds, three steals, two steals and a block with teammate James Martin finishing with four points, three rebounds and three assists. Fairbury vs Raymond CentralThe Jeffs fared better against the Raymond Central Mustangs on Tuesday with a decisive 63-22 victory.Jonah Parrack, in particular, had an especially good day. He shot 55 percent from the field, racking up 19 points, along with six rebounds and three steals. James Martin should also get a mention. He went 5-for-8, racking up 14 points. Fairbury vs Johnson County CentralWhile the Fairbury Jeffs made a good showing, the Johnson County Central Thunderbirds came out on tome, just barely, scoring 56-53 at Thursday’s basketball game, January 29.With this defeat, Fairbury’s record is down 12-5. The Thunderbirds, meanwhile, are now 11-5, having won five games in a row. Fairbury vs PalmyraThe Jeffs will next face off against the Palmyra Panthers at Fairbury on February 10.
