David E. Taylor

David E. Taylor, 64, of Hallam, passed away Wednesday morning, February 4, 2026, at his home after a battle with lung cancer. He was born on July 4, 1961, in Minden and graduated from Diller High School in 1979. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1978-1982. On July 1, 1984, he married Linda Mohling at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Beatrice. They lived and farmed in the Hallam area. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was confirmed on March 18, 2012. Dave was a big supporter of his children’s and grandchildren’s activities. He enjoyed going to livestock shows and working with all types of livestock. Survivors include his wife, Linda Taylor of Hallam; daughters, Amy (Trevor Root) Taylor, Jannell (Trey) Boggs, and Cheryl (Eric) Hansen; son, Justin (Krista) Taylor; 12 grandchildren; brother, Daniel (Randy Jarolimek) Taylor; sister, Diane Walter; sister-in-law, Ruth Mohling; brother-in-law, Roger Mohling; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen, who died on July 27, 1990; parents Gene and Kay (Lundeen) Taylor; sister, Debbie Kirk; nephew, Chadwick Kirk; parents-in-law, Maurice and Loretta (Meyer) Mohling. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, February 9, 2026, at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice with Pastor Linda Mohr Burial will be at the Hallam Community Cemetery of Hallam. The body will lie in state on Sunday from noon until 8:00 P.M. at the Fox Funeral Home. The family will greet family and friends on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
