Local Crews Tackle Pair of Ditch Fires on PWF Road

Fairbury, Diller and Jansen firefighters were called to the scene of a pair of ditch fires Monday afternoon, March 30, at approximately 2:00 p.m., on PWF Road near the 571 Avenue intersection.
High winds could have spread the fire quickly but firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze in roughly an hour. There were no reported injuries.
Nebraska has been plagued with fires over the past several weeks due to dry and windy conditions.
