The Fairbury Jeffs defense paved the way for a victory at home. Fairbury defeated Diller-Odell on Tuesday, January 7th with the final score reaching 46-26. Fairbury was led by the duo of Brodie Prellwitz and Drew Watson. Prellwitz was able to score 20 points, grab one rebound, four steals and three assists while Watson scored 15 points with six rebounds, three steals and one block.Fairbury traveled to Tri County on Thursday, January 9th, though giving a good effort, would come up just short losing 48-53. Fairbury will look to refocus with a brief break before hosting Wilber-Clatonia on Thursday, January 16th. The Thayer Central Titans hit the road facing Superior on Friday, January 10th and will be back home hosting Deshler on Saturday, January 11th. The Tri County Trojans lost at home against E.M.F on Tuesday, January 7th with the final score reaching 47-58. The Trojans took an early 17-11 first quarter lead, but would run into an offensive rut for the second and third quarter as they were out scored 19-36, and only managed a fourth quarter being scored an even 11-11.Tri County hosted Fairbury on Thursday, January 9th and bounced back with a solid 53-48 win. Tri County would close out the week on the road facing Freeman on Saturday, January 11th and will enter the MUDECAS tournament on Tuesday, January 14th facing Freeman at 5:00pm. The Meridian Mustangs slow start on the road spelled defeat against Lewiston on Tuesday, January 7th with the final score 34-54. Meridian looked to bounce back, hosting McCool Junction on Thursday, January 9th. No score was reported as of press time. Meridian will close out the week hosting Shelby-Rising City on Saturday, January 11th before entering the MUDECAS tournament on Tuesday, January 14th, facing Sacred Heart at 7:00pm. The Wilber-Clatonia Wolverines were able to win in overtime against Syracuse at home on Tuesday, January 7th with the final score 45-38. A rougher night was had for the offensive side. The Wolverines were led by Jameson Conway and Cash Keslar. Conway was able to score a team leading 23 points, grabbing seven rebounds, one block and two assists while Keslar was the only other teammate to score double digits with 10 points, three steals, two assist and one rebound.W-C hosted Johnson County Central on Thursday, January 9th. A great effort by W-C but lost a close one with the final score reaching 51-56. W-C will look to close out the week hosting Southern on Saturday, January 11th. The Southern Raiders couldn't contain Freeman on the road as they lost with a final score of 50-73 on Tuesday, January 7th. Southern hit the road again on Thursday, January 9th, facing E.M.F and came up short in that game as the final score reached 48-54. Southern will close out the week on the road facing Wilber-Clatonia on Saturday, January 11th before entering the MUDECAS tournament on Tuesday, January 13th as they'll be facing JCC at 3:30pm in the first round. The Diller-Odell run into offensive woes on the road against Fairbury on Tuesday, January 7th with a final score reaching 26-46. D-O would look to hit the road on Friday, January 10th facing Sacred Heart before entering the MUDECAS tournament on Tuesday, January 14th as D-O will be facing Parkview Christian in the first round at 5:30pm.
