Attorney and Administrator Take Oath of Office

The new City Administrator and Deputy City Attorney for the City of Fairbury took their oaths of office at a meeting of the Fairbury City Council on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.The oath was administered by the new City Attorney, Mark Fahleson, who himself took the oath on June 7 of this year.The new Deputy City Attorney is Kurth Brashear. Both he and Fahleson are replacing David J.A. Bargen, who served Fairbury as City Attorney for 14 years. Earlier this year, Governor Pete Ricketts appointed Bargen as district court judge in Southeast Nebraska's First Judicial District.
