Bargen Presides as District Court Judge in Jefferson County

Bargen began his first day on the bench as District Court Judge in Jefferson County on Thursday, August 4, where he presided over both civil and criminal cases. Although this was his first day as a judge in this county, he has already been on the job for three weeks and has presided over cases in Saline and Thayer Counties.Governor Pete Ricketts appointed Bargen, former City Attorney for Fairbury, as District Court Judge in Southeast Nebraska's First Judicial District.
