Bonham Persevering Despite Struggles

By Gordon HopkinsMembers of the Bonham Theatre Project’s board gathered at the theater Monday evening, February 28, for their annual meeting.Like most industries, the Bonham Theatre has been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. The treasurer’s report, prepared by Jan Knobel, indicated that, while there has been some improvement from the previous year, “income from operations down significantly from 2019 levels.”Concession and tickets sales for 2021 were $53,467.25, a slight improvement from 2020’s figure of $47,469.00, but nowhere near $100,536.76, which the theater took in for 2019.The theater has received a total of $58,265.84 in grants, suc...
