Close Call for County Assessor Race

Unofficial results from the Jefferson County Election Commissioner indicate incumbent Mary Banahan has exactly one more vote (181) than her challenger, Mick Vocelka, in the race for Jefferson County Assessor. There are still provisional ballots to be reviewed. In such a close race, those ballots could impact the final outcome. Provisional ballot status must be determined within seven days.
