Arrests
Paul Vincent Pond, age 44, and Amber L. Pond, age 39, both of Blue Springs, were arrested August 7, 2023, after the execution of a search warrant in southern Gage County. Charges include: possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) with the intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) with the intent to distribute, five counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of more than one ounce but less than one pound of marijuana, possession of stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia and nine counts of possession of a legend drug.
In Gage County District Court
Brandy Leighann Bennett, age 44, of Wymore, appeared in Gage County District Court on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. She was originally charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, a class 2 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a class 4 felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, an infraction. In accordance with a plea agreement, the possession with intent to distribute charge was dismissed and Bennett pleaded Guilty to the remaining charges. There was no agreement as to sentencing. She was sentenced to two years in prison, with credit for 197 days time served. She was also fined $100 for drug paraphernalia.
In Jefferson County Court
Kenneth D. Brown, age 48, of Fairbury, was arraigned in Jefferson County Court on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. He is charged with third degree domestic assault and obstructing a peace officer, both class 1 misdemeanors
David Loren Ebke, age 60, of Fairbury, appeared in Jefferson County Court on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. Ebke is charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, a class 1D felony possession of a controlled substance, a class 4 felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, an infraction. As soon as court was adjourned, deputies took Ebke into custody on two warrants out of Lancaster County.
Ramona Ruth Jones, age 56, of Fairbury, is charged with theft of property with a value of greater that $5,000, a class 2A felony.
Zachary Roland and Tacy A. Hayes, both from Oregon, are each charged with possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine, a class 4 felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, an infraction.
Javari D. Miller, age 19, of Witchita Falls, Texas, was cited on July 26, 2023, for carrying a concealed weapon, a class 1 misdemeanor, and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, an infraction. He pleaded Guilty to both counts and was fined $400 total.
Cory L. Nutsch, age 34, of Fairbury, failed to appear for court on Wednesday, August 9. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
