Debra Kay Brejcha

Debra Kay Brejcha, age 69, of Fairbury, passed away on January 27, surrounded by her loving family at her home. Debra was born on August 25, 1955, in Crete, to her parents Doris (Rahe) and Donald Meyers. She was full of life from a youthful age and would gain another father figure in her life that she adored by the name of Marvin Ahl. Deb was the first of 5 children growing up. She was a member of Crete Lutheran Church in her youth. She attended Crete high school gaining her diploma. On a Sunday night in June 1973, she would meet the love of her life Alfred Paul Brejcha. Leading into years later, Deb and Alfred grew a beautiful family of 3 daughters Jessica, Kimberly and Amber. She was a proud Military wife, and the family would take many summer vacations together. She enjoyed Friday nights because the family would watch movies and have pizza. Other activities she enjoyed was canning, having a garden with a variety of plants, baking for Christmas, and cooking for her family. When her Family began to expand, her main joy was her grandchildren. They would bring a light to her smile that would shine for miles. Deb also enjoyed camping and getting fresh air with her family and dogs (Lulu and Blu). Deb was a proud mother in supporting her children. She supported anything and everything that her children and grandchildren did. Debra faced many battles in life, in 2005 she was diagnosed with colon cancer, and she won that battle for the next 19 years. In 2024, she was then diagnosed with brain cancer and lung cancer that would lead to her last battle in life. Debra is proceeded in death with many friends and family, including her parents, sister- Chris, son-Derek, and grandchild-Mattix. Debra is survived by her husband Alfred Brejcha of Fairbury, Sisters-Laura of Western, Becky of Memphis, Tennessee, Brother-Gary of Lincoln, Daughters-Jessica Brejcha of Fairbury, Kimberly (Kyle) Roth of Western, Amber (Alie) Brejcha of Lincoln, and 3 grandchildren-Lyndlee, Emerson, and Maddie.
