Fairbury Man Charged with Assault, Criminal Mischief

A Fairbury man is facing multiple assault charges
Tate G. Harvey, age 29, was recently charged with two counts of third degree assault, each a class 1 misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
There is no affidavit in the court file but, according to the complaint, the first assault is alleged to have occurred on May 16, 2025, and the second on July 17, 2025.
Harvey is also charged with criminal mischief resulting in a loss of between $500 and $1,500, a class 2 misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
Arraignment is scheduled for August 20, 2025.
