Fairbury Swimmers At Dual In Hastings

The Beatrice, Norris, Fairbury, Freeman swimmers and divers have been hard at work and the results have shown that as the girls team was able to win the dual with Hastings that came down the wire with the final score 89-87, but the boys would lose 48-106.Representing Fairbury and having some top finishes came by the efforts of Avery Baumann taking first in 200 individual Medley and the 100 backstroke, and was a part of the 400 freestyle relay that also consisted of Tabitha Crawford, Delaney Bisecker, and Elise Van Cleave. The second places finishes were made possible by the girls 200 Medley Relay with Jaedyn Baxa, Addi Baxa, Mikya Lierman, and Delaney Biesecker. Lierman also placed second in the 200 individual medley and helped the Girls 200 Freestyle Relay of Avery Baumann, Elise Van Cleave, and Jaedyn Baxa take second as well while Lily Davis achieved a new automatic state qualifying score in diving with 349.80.On the days Thursday, Jan. 12 and Friday, Jan. 13 the BNFF swim tam competed a the Skyhawk Swimming and Diving invitational with great success. The girls team was able to take 1st place among the eight teams and the boys had placed fourth.Avery Baumann had another successful meet as she took first in the 200 and 100 freestyle, was apart of the girls 400 freestyle relay with Elise Van Cleave, Tabitha Crawford and Jaedyn Baxa taking second, helped take third with Mikya Lierman Jaedyn Baxa, and Addi Baxa in the 200 medley A relay. Lierman also took 2nd in the 50 freestyle, and Lily Davis was able to take third in the diving at this meet. BNFF divers will be competing at the Ralson Diving invitational on Saturday, Jan. 21 and BNFF will be hosting a double dual with Lincoln North Star and Lincoln Northwest on Thursday, January 26 at the Beatrice YMCA.
