Fire near Rock Creek Station

An estimated 2600 acres have been burned in what Jefferson and Saline County Emergency Management is calling “one of the largest wildfires in years.” Numerous homes have been threatened along with Rock Creek Historical Park buildings.

Officials are asking people to stay clear of the area. Roads must be kept open for vehicles and equipment.
