Former City Attorney Prepares for his New Role as District Court Judge

Bargen sat in on proceedings during Jefferson County District Court to observe the working of the courtroom he will soon be presiding over.Governor Pete Ricketts appointed Bargen, former City Attorney for Fairbury, as district court judge in Southeast Nebraska's First Judicial District. Bargen replaces Judge Vicky Johnson, who retired at the end of January of this year. Bargen is expecting to take over duties next month.
