FPS High School Assistant Principal and Athletic Director Resigns

The Fairbury Public Schools Board of Education accepted the resignation of David Davis, Junior-Senior High School Assistant Principal and Athletic Director, at a meeting the evening of Monday, December 9, 2024. His resignation will be effective at the end of the 2024-2025 contract year.

When asked why he was leaving, Davis told FJN via email, “Because I am of age and longevity that I can retire/resign.”
Davis added, “Whats next? I don’t know. I have some opportunities out there and we will see where we land. It has been an honor and a privilege to work in and with Fairbury Public Schools and the Community of Fairbury.”

FPS Superintendent Devin Embray said of Davis, “I have appreciated getting to know and work alongside Mr. Davis. It has been a great experience for me and I along with our district will miss his leadership and passion for student activities championing Jeff Pride. We wish him only the best in his future endeavors!”
