Full Slate For State

State Qualifiers: Boys:Jeffs Send ThreeThe Fairbury Jeffs will send three to state wrestling with Dalton VanLaningham qualifying in the 138-pound division. This will be the third consecutive year VanLaningham has qualified for state as he would take. Konrad Kuzelka qualified for the second time as he’ll be at state in the 165-pound division and Layne Fees was able to qualify for his first time as he’ll be competing in the 285-pound division. Mustangs Send ThreeThe Meridian Mustangs will send three to state wrestling with those being Carter Haverluck, JD Adam and Kyan Sones. Haverluck qualified for the second year in a row as he’ll be competing in the 132-pound division. Sones qualified for the second year in a row as well as he’ll be competing in the 285-pound division while Adam qualified for the third consecutive year as he’ll be competing in the 175-pound division. Four Raiders Going To StateThe Southern Raiders will send a group of four to state wrestling. Qualifying for the second year in a row would come by the efforts of Wyatt Forney as he’ll compete in the 113-pound division. Getting their first try at State wrestling will be Drake Troxel qualifying in the 144-pound division. Koltan Ideus will be competing in the 157-pound division and Carsen Goes will be competing in the 190-pound division. Trojans Have Three QualifyThe Tri County Trojans will be sending three to state wrestling. Qualifying for the first time is Riley Kopf as he’ll be competing in the 175-pound division. The duo of Cole Spahr and Cooper Stokebrand will be competing at state for the third consecutive time. Cole Spahr qualified in the 144-pound division and Cooper Stokebrand had qualified in the 215-pound division. In the effort of qualifying, Stokebrand would also surpass the 150th career win mark. Titans Represented By Four WrestlersThe Thayer Central Titans send four to state wrestling. Qualifying for the first time is Jaxon Bowers as he’ll be competing in the 106-pound division. Owen McLaughlin will also be competing for the first time as he qualified in the 126-pound division. James Bonar would qualify for the second year in a row as he’ll be competing in the 285-pound division, and Cole Vorderstrasse qualified for the third consecutive year as he’ll be competing in the 215-pound division. Half Dozen Wolverines Going To OmahaThe Wilber-Clatonia send a handful with six wrestlers off to state wrestling. Leading the way with his fourth consecutive year of qualifying is Iverson Mejia as he’ll be competing in the 150-pound division. Qualifying for the third year in a row and staying undefeated is Zaiyahn Ornelas as he qualified for the 120-pound division. For his third year in a row as well, Grant Eschiti will be competing in the 132-pound division. Heading into state wrestling for their first time qualifying will be Ty Roesler competing in the 157-pound division. Logan Zimmerman qualified in the 144-pound division and Ryan Marsh qualified in the 138-pound division. Girls:Three Lady Jeffs Heading To StateThe Fairbury Lady Jeffs will have Regan Kapke competing in the 105-pound division for her first time at state. Heidi Ramos was able to qualify for state wrestling for the first time in the 155-pound division, and with her efforts would also secure the 75th career win mark making Ramos the Lady Jeffs career wins leader. Joining them at state for her second go around and the second Lady Jeff to qualify in back-to-back years is Addison Marschman in the 235-pound division.Two Titans QualifyThe Thayer Central Lady Titans will be sending two off to state. Those efforts came by Braelyn Degenhardt qualifying in the 130-pound division along with Keirsten Heinrichs qualifying in the 120-pound division.W-C Has One QualifierThe Wilber-Clatonia Lady Wolverines send off Faith Klabenes as she’ll be competing at state for her first time in the 190-pound division.
