Gloria Beasley

Gloria Jean Beasley, 77, of Waverly, passed away Saturday, September 4, with her family by her side. Gloria was born on September 15, 1943 in Oakland, CA to the late Hannah & Ronald “Alex” Wertz. She eventually moved to Fairbury, where she met Walt Beasley. They married on May 6 1966. Walt & Gloria moved to Lincoln, in 1965 then relocated to Waverly, in 1970 where she became a school bus driver in 1976 for Waverly School District 145. Gloria is survived by: husband Walt Beasley of Waverly. Son & daughter in law David & Angela Squyres of Port Lavaca, TX. Son James Squyres & “daughter in law” Valery Benjamin of Bayside, TX. Son & daughter in law Scott & Wenonah Beasley of Brighton, CO. Son & daughter in law Kevin & Julie Beasley of Lincoln, and daughter Tamara Beasley of Lincoln. She is also survived by aunts, grandchildren, great grandchildren & grandpets. Gloria was preceded in death by her brother Harvey Sauter in 1942, her brother Gerald Sauter in 2000 and her grandson, Aaron C. Peterson in 2006. There will be a “Celebration of Life” to celebrate Gloria’s life & birthday held on Sunday, Sept. 19 from 1pm- 3pm at the Waverly Community Foundation Center Jaycee Park, 11120 N 141st St, Waverly, NE 68462. The family insists that people come dressed casual (jeans, shorts, t-shirts etc.). pd
