Is Time Running Out For Daylight Saving Time?

“Spring Forward, Fall Back,” the old saying used to remind people which way to reset their clocks when Daylight Saving Time beckons, may become a thing of the past. At least, if some legislators get their way.Legislative Bill (LB) 283, introduced by Albion Senator Tom Briese (District 41), would adopt daylight saving time year-round, eliminating the need to change clocks twice a year.At a hearing on March 14 at the Nebraska Legislature, Briese said, “Between medical costs, sick days, heart attacks, strokes, car accidents, loss of work days to workplace injuries and simple decreased efficiency at work, the costs really begin to add up.”The bi...
