James Moser

James Lee Moser, 69, of Fairbury, NE passed away on December 9, 2021. He was born January 24, 1952, to Earl and Esther Moser in Fairbury. He was baptized and confirmed at the American Lutheran Church and was a Fairbury graduate of the class of 1970.
Jim worked along side his father and brother as a mechanic for the family business until 1994 and continued his career, becoming a certified technician for the Chevrolet dealer from 1994-2021.
Jay Husker Racing awarded Jim 1998 Rookie of the Year. He received the Lifetime Award of 25 years, for donating his time and maintaining the racetrack.
Jim had many interests with included visiting with people at auctions. He was an avid race car fan, loved trains, enjoyed the Rocky Mountains, deer hunting and star gazing. He attended many basketball and volleyball games. He could tell you all the details, traveled far and was proud to say he attended every game this season.
He is preceded in death by his parents Earl and Esther Moser, older brother Michael, grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
Jim will be dearly missed by his sister, Sharon, many cousins, and lots of friends.
Jim has turned his last wrench. God must need a car fixed in heaven.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at the Fairbury Cemetery. Public Viewing will begin Tuesday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. www.gerdesmeyerfh.com
