Jeffs Can’t Get Past Seward Offense In Opener

Fairbury Jeffs baseball was unable to keep the bats going as they fall to Seward 3-13 on March 19.Fairbury was able to grab the lead in the second inning after Blayne Schelbitzki singled on a line drive to right bringing in two RBI.However after that inning Fairbury wasn’t able to generate enough offense to pull out the victory. Schelbitzki, along with Jakolbe Atkins, Ethan Smith, Auggie Judd each went one for two on plate appearances.Blake Starr took the loss lasting three innings, allowing five hits and seven runs while striking out one.
