The Fairbury Jeffs basketball used first half momentum to win 65-49 against Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer on Tuesday, December 20. Fairbury was led by Jax Biehl, dropping a quarter of points (25) along with four rebounds, and led the team with six assists while swiping three steals.Blake Starr provided a solid second option scoring 17 points, led the team crashing for rebounds as he had eight and led the defensive charge with four steals. Also contributing to the win was Drew Watson providing eight points, one block and seven rebounds, and giving a nice lift off the bench with seven points, two rebounds and one block was Brody Prellwitz and Brendon Runge getting four points, five rebounds and one steal as well.Fairbury will be gearing up for more basketball as they take to the road on Thursday, December 29 going against Lincoln Lutheran.Fairbury Lady Jeffs basketball secured their first win of the season as they bested Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer with the final score being 45-23.Top performances for Fairbury was led by Izzy Ohlde as she led the offense with 21 points and had one steal. Hannah Robertson was able to score seven points, grab four rebounds, give out three assists and led the team with three steals. Eliza Kroeker had six points, seven rebounds and one steal, and Madison Ohlde had four points while leading the team on the boards with eight rebounds, while having two assists on the night as well.Looking to build off this win will have Fairbury preparing to take to the road on Thursday, December 29 going against Lincoln Lutheran.
