Jeffs Move To 3-0

It was not one or two, but three records broken and two tied in the 62-6 victory for the Jeffs in football action against Schuyler on Friday night.Jax Biehl has been phenomenal and Friday night was another spectacle connecting 21 passes on 31 attempts going for 382 yards and seven touchdowns to break both records Biehl previously broke earlier this season. After this game Biehl would be sitting at second in the state of Nebraska of all classes with 982 passing yards so far on the season.One Jeff in particular caught over half of those touchdown passes as senior Jackson Martin tied the school record with 10 receptions racking up 217 yards and broke the school record by receiving four touchdowns.This game would put Jackson Martin 1st to leading the State of Nebraska in all high school divisions in receiving yards as he’s racked up 536 yards thus far. Not only in coming down with receptions as James Olds came away with five receptions that went for 67 yards with one touchdown, Korey Nippert and Conner Gerths each had two receptions and had one touchdown.The Jeffs passing attack was again on point, but this week the rushing attack was evident as Senior Auggie Judd broke the 100 yard mark as he carried the ball for seven times, rushing for 140 yards and one touchdown. Jaret Wood also had seven carries running for 48 yards and one touchdown. Defensively the Jeffs grabbed 78 tackles as a team with 13 being for a loss.Senior Devon Carel led the way with nine tackles, as he recorded three sacks tying the school as well, caused one fumble and recovered one as well. Riley Arner finished with eight tackles, two of which were for loss, and Drake Richtarik was able to grab six tackles and one sack.Moving to 3-0 Fairbury will look to carry the momentum into hosting Minden on Friday.
