Keystone Pipeline Shut Down After Oil Spill

TC Energy, the company formerly known as TransCanada Corporation, shut down the Keystone Pipeline System the evening of Wednesday, December 7, 2022, in response to a confirmed release of oil into Mill Creek near Washington, Kansas, and approximately 20 miles south of Steele City.According to a press release from TC Energy, this action was initiated at about 8 p.m., “after alarms and a detected pressure drop in the system.
