Lorraine M. Novotny

Lorraine M. Novotny was born in Omaha Nebraska on July 15, 1967 to Robert T. and Kathryn L Alexander. Lorraine passed away on April 5, 2025 at Jefferson Community Health Center in Fairbury Nebraska.In life Lorraine loved her family, cats and working with her volunteer grandchildren at the Elementary School in Fairbury as a school grandparent. Lorraine loved volunteering at the Homeless No More Cat Rescue and was an avid Chicago Bears and Nebraska Cornhuskers Football fan.Lorraine adored her grandchildren and took being a grandma very serious. People have described her as one of the most caring and nicest people around. She loved her husband Brian very much.She was preceded in death by her father, Robert T. Alexander, her aunt Bobbie Cox, her Uncle Walter Farris III (Tripp) and cousin Cale Farris as well as other aunts and uncles.She is survived by her mother Kathryn Alexander, her husband Brian Novotny, sisters Bonnie Roeber and husband Mark, sister Tricia Alexander, sister Jeannie Smith and Brother Jeff Alexander and his girlfriend Jenn Bacon. Children are, Son Brian Jurisch and significant other Elizabeth Carstens and daughter Caitlyn Stokes and husband Robert Stokes. Grandkids, Bryar, Daymen, Nevaeh, Justenne, Cale, Liam and Jazyme. Mark, Journie, Lucas, Lillyana, Levi and LeeAnne and her 4 grand cats.Family will greet friends and relatives from 6 to 8 PM at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home on April 11, 2025. Services will be held at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Chapel on April 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at the Odell City Cemetery near Odell Nebraska. All are invited to a luncheon following at the First Christian Church in Fairbury Nebraska. b
