Lyle Graff

Lyle G. Graff left this world Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at his home South of Steele City.  He was born May 8, 1948 at Odell, NE to George & Neva (Fuqua) Graff.  He attended country school, District 22, walking the ¾ mile across the section to get there.  He graduated from Hollenberg, KS high school in 1966, and married Sharlene Meyer on February 18, 1968.  He later graduated SCC Beatrice in 2009.

Lyle enjoyed the Blessings of his Creator; family, friends, the land and his John Deere tractors.  He always had an off-the-farm job to provide for all. Those jobs included the Fairbury Creamery, Store Kraft, Roodes Feedlot, Endicott Clay, Landolls, Dempsters, Goosen/Precise Fabrication.  He was active on the rural fire board, after years as a volunteer fireman. 

Survivors include wife Sharlene, sons Clint (Wendy) & Travis (Kristie) of rural Hollenberg, KS, grandchildren Skyler, Stuart, Courtney, Julia, Trevor and Tregan, sister Betty Munsterman, brother Larry (Kathy), all of Lincoln, NE, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Don (Bonnie), brother-in-law Clarence Munsterman, sister Elaine (Lynn) Banahan and in-laws. 

Services will be Monday, September 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Steele City.  Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.  www.gerdesmeyerfh.com
