Arrest Warrant
An unrelated arrest occurred that same day. Amanda S. Zabokrtsky, age 42, of Fairbury, on a warrant issued September 17 of this year by Judge Linda Bauer.
According to the Affidavit for Arrest Warrant, on March 25, 2025, a Jefferson County deputy was monitoring an address in Fairbury “known to be frequented by drug users” and witnessed two individuals leave the address on bicycles at approximately 12:14 a.m.
The deputy conducted a traffic stop. According to the deputy, one of the bicycles did not have a working light and neither had red reflectors on the rear of the bikes.
One of the individuals was identified as Zabokrtsky. The deputy reported witnessing Zabokrtsky attempting to conceal a pair of black gloves, which contained a plastic bag. A second bag was located in in a wallet.
Zabokrtsky was not arrested at the time but the bags were confiscated and, on June 25th, 2025, a laboratory report from the Nebraska State Patrol Crime Laboratory confirmed the substance in the bags to be methamphetamine.
Zabokrtsky is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a class 4 felony punishable by up to two years in prison, nine to 12 months of post-release supervision, and a $10,000 fine. She is also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, an infraction that carries a $100 fine.
