Plymouth Man Misses Court in One County Because He was in Jail in Another County

A warrant was issued for a Plymouth man facing a felony drug charges after he missed a court date. It turns out he was in jail in another county for a different case.Dustin A. Anderson, age 45, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, a class 4 felony, punishable by up to two years imprisonment, 12 months of post-release supervision, and a $10,000 fine.On September 25, 2025, at approximately 6:24 p.m., Gage County deputies executed a search warrant on a camper parked in the driveway of a residence in Beatrice. According to the arrest affidavit, inside the camper was located “a white crystalline substance, which field tested presumptively positive for methamphetamine.”Anderson was arrested at the scene. The defendant was free on a $3,500 (10 percent) bond and scheduled to appear in Gage County District Court on February 18, 2026. When he did not appear, Judge Rick A. Schreiner issued a warrant for his arrest. Anderson had, in fact, been arrested the day before in Jefferson County. On Tuesday, February 17, Anderson was arrested for terroristic threats and aggravated assault with a weapon against a family member, both felony offenses. That case is pending.On that day he was scheduled to appear in Gage County Court, Anderson was arraigned in Jefferson County Court. He appeared via webcam from the Jefferson County Law Enforcement Center. Linda Bauer was the presiding judge. Anderson was charged in that case with theft of services valuing less than $500, a class 2 misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.There is no affidavit on file but, according to the citation, Anderson is accused of diverting utility electrical services from the Village of Plymouth without payment in January of this year.The defendant pleaded guilty to the theft and was fined $50. Meanwhile, Anderson filed a letter in Gage County, explaining why he missed court and asking for his bond to be reinstated. Another hearing is scheduled for March 4, 2026.He remains in custody as of press time.
