Pro Wrestling Event Coming To Fairbury March 11

Bringing professional wrestling to Fairbury for the first time in many years is Traditional American Pro Wrestling (TAPW) on March 11 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Merchants Building, 7 p.m.“We put on a family-friendly show that really has a little something for everyone,” said Eric Woodard, owner of TAPW. Based in Junction City, Kansas, Woodard has been traveling throughout the Midwest with his wrestling cards that aim to entertain big-time fans, enthusiasts and the curious about professional wrestling.“Our name really says it all, Traditional American Pro Wrestling. We strive to put on a show the whole family can come enjoy and have a good time. Boo the bad guys, cheer the good guys, get caught up in the action, that is what we are all about,” Woodard said. The show will feature ‘Cowboy’ James Storm of Franklin, Tennessee, a nationally known professional wrestler, having performed on numerous pay-per-views and programs throughout his 20-plus year career. Storm has performed in WWE’s NXT, TNA, Impact Wrestling, Ring of Honor and numerous other promotions, holding countless titles along the way. Also appearing will be Beer City Bruiser out of Milwaukee. This rough and tumble star has been around the nation, wrestling for Ring of Honor among other high-profile organizations. The card will also feature the debut of area native Taybor Miller. Born in Fairbury and raised in Morrowville, Kansas, Miller is a graduate of Washington County High School in Washington, Kansas. “This is a great opportunity and if you put the work in, it will pay off.
