Public Hearing on Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Regulations Scheduled

The Jefferson County Board of Commissioner will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Room at the County Courthouse, to gather public input regarding the recently revamped County Comprehensive Plan and zoning regulations.
The Planning and Zoning Administrator has posted the proposed materials on the official zoning webpage.
The materials are extensive and include:
• The full Comprehensive Plan.
• Zoning Regulations.
• A zoning map.
• A project-type matrix that provides a general reference for how different types of projects are treated in various zoning districts.
