Ricelle Greenwood

Ricelle Rae Greenwood (Kel), Loving mother, sister, and daughter came to rest March 13, 2025. Kel was born in Fairbury, NE to Richard and Cheryl Greenwood on June 22, 1984. She graduated from Fairbury High School in 2002 among her friends. She went on to join the Army reserves where she met Chris Remmenga and welcomed a baby boy, Taevyn in 2007. Kel was an adventurous soul. She loved playing softball with her friends and taking care of others. She was often found outside either walking the riverbanks in search of arrowheads or at the parks playing disc golf or horseshoes. She is survived by her parents; Richard Greenwood of Fairbury and Cheryl Greenwood of Bennington. Her significant other Alpha Hackett of Belleville. Her son Taevyn Remmenga of Fairbury. Her siblings: Phil and Rochelle Greenwood of Fairbury, Joanie Warnke of Lincoln, Chris Warnke of London, Brandee and Damon Siebe of Bennington. Her nieces and nephews: Shane Greenwood of Fairbury, Blake and Skyler Warnke of Morrowville, Destini Warnke of Lincoln, Kahle Greenwood of Aurora, Draeden Siebe and Jaylee Siebe of Bennington, and many other friends and family. She is preceded in death by her grandparents and older brother Michael Greenwood. Kel’s selfless and nurturing soul was committed to putting others first. She had an adventurous, free spirit and always lived her life to the fullest. Her caring and loving nature along with her radiant smile and positive attitude will truly be missed. Services will be April 4, 2025, at 11:00 at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home Chapel in Fairbury. Family visitation will begin at 10:00, before the service. A lunch will be served at the VFW at 12:00 following the service. Memorials will go to the Family’s Choice. Please wear Nebraska Husker apparel or Tie-Dye – both were Ricelle’s favorite.
