Russell Novotny

Russell Novotny passed away on September 8, 2021, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte, Florida at the age of 55.He was born July 27, 1966, in Fairbury, the son of Sandy Novotny. He and his brother were raised by their grandparents in Endicott and graduated from Fairbury High School in 1985.He married Kim Day in 1990. They resided in Utah. They later divorced.In 1997, he married Rhonda Cartwright. With this marriage he gained a daughter, Shaye. They then had another daughter Adreah. They later divorced.He then met the love of his life Tina Wendte and they married on September 2, 2017 in Las Vegas.He was a talented painter and very good cook even without a recipe.When he moved to Clay Center he worked as a Plumber for John Turner for many years.He moved to Fort Myers, Florida with his wife and daughter in April of 2021.He is preceded in death by his mom Sandy Novotny, grandparents Harold and Ada Novotny, many aunts and uncles and his favorite dog Split.Survivors: wife: Tina Novotny of Clay Center, daughter: Adreah Novotny of Clay Center, step daughter: Shaye (Jake) Charbonneau of Clay Center, brother: Kevin Novotny of Endicott, brother from another mother (his best friend): Eric Kudritzki of Fort Myers FL, uncle: Butch (Betty) Novotny of Endicott, niece Cheyanne (Austin) Packett of Beatrice, niece: Addalyn Packett, great nephew: Abel Packett, mother-in-law: Nancy Lehman of Linn KS, father-in-law: Gary (Marie) Wendte of Palmer KS, sister-in-laws: Sheri (Mike) McGatlin of Hiawatha KS, Dawn (Jason) Coonrod of Liberty MO, Katie (Gar) Ball of Manhattan KS, brother-in-law: JD (Michelle) Cartwright of Ogallala, close friends: Raymond (Anna) Price of Wymore, four grandkids and many close family and friends.There will be a celebration of life in Palmer KS on October 23, at the Palmer Community Building starting at 4 p.m. at 215 North Illinois Street. There will be food, but the family asks for the attendants to bring their own drinks. pd
