Saturday Morning Fire At Local Motel

Saturday, September 11 of this year was intended to be a celebration of first responders. Unfortunately, as is so often the case, some first responders had to work that day.
At approximately 7 a.m., the Fairbury Rural Fire Department were dispatched to a reported fire at the Capri Motel on Highway 136 in Fairbury.
One one point, at least three separate plumes of smoke were seen over the roof of the motel, reported to be caused by an electrical fire in the ceiling. Fire fighters had to climb onto the motel and break through the roof in order to reach the flames.
