Sobotka Signs With CCC

One door closes and another one opens as Jaylee Sobotka signs with Central Community College for volleyball. Another Mustang cut loose and set off to the next level of competition.The signing for Sobotka to go to college somewhere was never any doubt if she chose too. The only question that was of priority was which sport would she choose?A vital piece of the Meridian Mustangs success, Jaylee was a part of the volleyball and basketball team that made history as the first time in the school’s history to win both the MUDECAS volleyball and basketball Division B championship in the same school year. As well as being a part of the three consecutive State appearances for State volleyball. It’s never been hard to find the evidence of the work she put in to help the team achieve success. By the end of her time in Meridian for basketball, hitting the peak as Jaylee would average a double-double her Senior year with 16 points, and 11 rebounds.A career total of 812 points, 653 rebounds, 110 assists, 136 steals and 19 blocks. It didn’t matter what was needed, Jaylee was more than capable of doing what the team needed in more ways than one.Just as dominant in volleyball, defensively or offensively Sobotka was able to do it all. As a hitter, over 500 kills with 552. A total of 129 aces served along with 25 assists.Jaylee would nearly rack up 1,000 digs as she would finish with a career total of 996 digs and provided 55 blocks as well. No matter where she’s on the court, the impact of her skills had to be accounted for each set.
