Jeffs Make A RunOn Monday, Fairbury Lady Jeffs strong first inning pushed them onward in the next round of districts with a 12-7 victory against Centennial.Racking up 15 hits as a team, Fairbury was led by Addy Marschman going three-for-five, with her biggest hit a home-run that went over the left field bringing in two RBI.Izzie Ohlde, Autumn L’Ecuyer, Malayne DeBoer, C Myers and Madi Ohlde each had multiple hits. DeBoer finished with two RBI while both Izzie and Madi Ohlde each had one RBI. Regan Kapke was able to contribute one hit as well and Logan Wentz one hit of the day was a big one as she would hit a home run over left field as she ended her day with four RBI.Defensively Fairbury was solid as the team committed no errors, as Autumn L’Ecuyer led things on the mound surrendering two hits and three runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking two before Sam Schmidt would relieve her.Schmidt would go five and one-third innings giving up 11 hits, four runs, one walk and had two strikeouts in the victory.Fairbury would take on Pierce in the sub-district finals and rally late to grab the 21-16 victory claiming the C-6 Sub-District title. With 17 hits as a team, Fairbury was led by Izzie Ohlde going four-for-six at the, Madi Ohlde went two-for-six with one of her hits being a home run that brought in two of her eventual three RBI. Autumn L’Ecuyer and Addy Marschman were both able to go two-for-five, Marschman also brought in two RBI. Lexi Mau, Malayne DeBoer, Regan Kapke, Cambria Myers, Ava Kroll, Lauren Wanamaker, and Logan Wentz each contribut-ed one hit. It was seven of those 17 hits being extra bases, as seven of those doubles came from L’Ecuyer, Madi and Izzie Ohlde, Wanamaker, Wentz, and Mau. Sam Schmidt on the mound went the full eight innings allowing 17 hits and 16 runs, nine earned, with three walks and one strikeout. Wolverines EndSeason At DistrictsWilber-Clatonia Lady Wolverines season comes to an end losing 0-12 in their first round of districts against Wayne.A total of four hits for W-C coming from Aubrey Ninneman, Savannah Lowery, Korrina Paulsen and Samantha Novak.With the loss W-C season comes to an end with the record of 2-26. Thunder LoseSouthern/Diller-Odell Thunder have a pitchers dual, but fell to NEN 3-4.Coming away with seven hits as a team, Jaidyn Allington led the way going three-for-three with a double, and two RBI. Mya Frase, Karrigan Henrichs, and Maddie Parde each had one hit while Savannah Mason also had one RBI.A strong showing on the mound for Henrichs as she went six innings allowing nine hits, one walk, four runs with three being earned and had 11 strikeouts.S.D.O was able to have a successful year as with a young core, and few upperclassman were able to finish with a record 13-12.
