Speedway Hosts Last Race Of Regular Season

The regular season for the Jefferson County Speedway had come to an end with another great night of racing. Battling the year of mixed summer weather, the Jefferson County Speedway and many racers found a way of ending the season a high note and coming away with wins in their classes are as follows.For the Wing A Class, Cale Lagroon of Salina, KS was able to stay focused in his effort from the second slot to take first. In the Sportsman, Laike Imm of Phillipsburg, KS made quite a few leaps in position on his way from the starting eight spot and moving to first. For the Jr. Sprints, Kasen Kalkwarf of Crete, NE was able to make two jumps from third into first. For the Restricted Micros, Gavyn Bolt of Manhattan, KS was able to hold onto the lead as he made the jump from second to first. While in the Mod Lites, Cory Sonner of Polk City, IA was able to start at first and stay there through that classes entirety as the only lead position to do so. For the Non-Wing, Jadyn Friesen of Sutton, NE started amongst the top five as she rounded them out at the fifth spot, and would then later finish at first place.This week, the Jefferson County Speedway will have the final race of the season with that being the Tooley’s F-Town Showdown with Dirt2Media National Open Wheel 600 Series comes to town Friday and Saturday, August 16-17.
