Spring Nationals at the Beatrice Speedway

Modified, Sport Mod, Stock Car, Hobby Stock, Sport Compact The 32nd annual IMCA (International Motor Contest Association) Spring Nationals will be held at the Beatrice Speedway tonight and tomorrow, March 21 and 22, 2025.Originally scheduled for March 13 through 15, blizzard conditions earlier in the week meant the Nationals were postponed by the race committee to the scheduled rain dates. For a while, it looked like the same thing could happened this week, with snow once again soaking the track. Thursday practice laps were canceled. However, as of press time, the races are still on. Spring Nationals Qualifying ProceduresAll Drivers will draw for their starting spot for the first set of heat races and they will line up by the pill draw. The second Set will be an invert and a shift of drivers from the 1st set to the second set. This means you will race different drivers in each set of heats.The Top 6 in points will lock into Saturday nights Features and will Redraw for their starting spots on Saturday afternoon. 7th on back will line up by points for Saturdays Last Chance Heat Races. The Top three from the Last Chance Heat Races will qualify for the Feature and will line up as they finish. The remainder for the field will go to a Last Chance Qualifier to fill the rest of the 24 spots in Saturdays Features.Any ties in points will be broken by using the Friday night pill draw. Lowest pill wins the tie breaker.The points system will see finishing and passing points added from both heats to determine the total. Position points start at 100 to win and each position after is a decrease of seven points per finishing spot. Passing points will be +1.5 for positions gained and -5 for positions lost from you original starting position.
