Steele City Weekend Planned and Vendors Welcomed

The Steele City Flea Market & Machinery Show will be held September 16th and 17th in Steele City, Nebraska. Vendors are needed for the event, selling everything from antiques and primitives to collectibles and crafts. All unreserved spaces are FREE on a first-come first-served basis starting the Friday of the Flea Market. Vendors can Pre-register and reserve spaces for a small fee. Electric hookups must be reserved in advance, because the number of hookups is very limited. More Food Vendors are needed for the two day event. Please contact: 402-729-5805 for more information or if you would like to reserve a spot. Held with the Flea Market is the Historical Demonstrations such as the lumber cutting mills. Mid way up the hill in Steele City, Blacksmith Demonstrations will be held by area Blacksmiths, through-out both days. Historical museum buildings will be open for viewing in the Steele City Historical District. An Antique Machinery Show is also conducted and includes everything with older tractors. A tractor show, tractor pull, tractor drive and tractors will be first in a community parade. A Garden Tractor Pull will held in conjunction with the Antique Tractor Pull. The Antique tractor has also added a stock tractor class with no entry fee. This year’s Tractors and Treasurers will be held in conjunction with the 150th Celebration for the town of Steele City.
