Timothy Kuzon

Timothy James Kuzon entered into the eternal presence of his Lord and Saviour on August 28, 2022, while spending the weekend in Bellevue, NE. Tim was born to Elizabeth Drabant in Olean, NY, on May 4, 1957, and was adopted by Joseph and Mary Kuzon of Williamsville, NY, on May 23, 1961. Before retiring to Fairbury, NE, Tim worked for the Amherst New York Highway Department for 26 years. Tim also served on several volunteer fire departments in the town of Amherst, NY, from the time he was 18 years old until he moved to Fairbury in 2017; these included Hutchinson Hose, Main Transit, and East Amherst volunteer fire departments. Tim was an avid railfan and enjoyed books, videos, and historical sites that involved railroads. After retiring to Fairbury, Tim enjoyed spending his days sitting on his front porch drinking coffee and visiting with neighbors; he spent his evenings watching train videos, westerns, or war movies with one of his four cats on his lap. Tim also enjoyed spending time at the Rock Island Depot just three blocks from his home. Because Tim was adopted as a child, he had a special love for children raised without a father in the home and is therefore survived not only by birth children but also by adopted and stepchildren, all of whom he loved equally. Hence, in addition to being survived by his wife of 12 years, Jeanette (Jean) Kuzon, he is survived by his children Pete Strahin and family, Richard Strahin and family, Ryan Kuzon and family, Tiffany Malchow and family, and James Kuzon and family. Following the services of The Nebraska Cremation Society, Tim’s ashes will be entrusted to his children in New York for interment or dispersal as per their wishes.
