Titans Flex Muscle At Recent Invites

Wilber-Clatonia hosted a track invite on April 1. Thayer Central girls were third and W-C girls were seventh. For the boys, W-C finished second and Thayer Central was fourth.For the Thayer boys, Cole Vorderstrasse was fourth in the 100m (:12.39) while Blake Gunn was sixth (:12.44). Adam Lukert was fifth in the 1600m (4:55.59) and the 3200m (11:05.55).Murphy Sudbeck was second in the 110m hurdles, setting a personal record with a time of :16.16) and was fourth in the 300m hurdles (:45.38).Placing fourth in the 4x100m relay was Jaxson Bowers, Brady Degenhardt, Blake Gunn and Vorderstrasse (:47.76). The Titan 4x400m relay team (Sudbeck, Sinn, Degenhardt, Skyler Fischer) was fourth (3:50.88).Continuing his strong performance in the shot put, Vorderstrasse was second (42’ 10”) for the Titans and won the discus (159’ 10”). Colter Sinn was third in the pole vault (11’). Winning the long jump was Blake Gunn (20’ .75”). He also won the triple jump (39’ 3.5”).On the girls’ side, Piper Havel won the 100m (:13.99) while Leah Havel was third (:14.34). Leah Havel was fourth in the 200m (:28.68).Isabella Scritt was third in the 300m hurdles (:54.06). Ryan Pulliam, Piper Havel, Escritt and Leah Havel won the 4x100m relay (:53.75). Ryan Pulliam was second in the pole vault for the Titans (8’) and Aydrian Meyer was seventh (6’6”).Winning the long jump was Piper Havel (16’ 3.25”) while Leah Havel was third (15’8.25”).Thayer Central hosted its own invite on April 3 and the Titan boys team was tied for second with 70 team points. The girls dominated with a big win, scoring 89 team points. Fairbury was second with 78.5 team points.Piper Havel led the female Titan team with a win in the 100 meter dash (:12.95) and Leah Havel was close behind in third (:13).Piper was second in the 200 meter dash (:27.15) while Leah was third (:28.38). Isabella Escritt was fourth in the 400 meter dash (1:04) and Maggie Johnson was fifth in the 1600 meters (6:55.07). Escritt finished third in the 300 meter hurdles (:55.96).In the long jump, Piper was second (16’ 1.5”) while Leah was third (15’8”).The 4x100m relay team for Thayer won (:52.86) with Piper and Leah Havel, Escritt and Ryann Pulliam making up the team. Laikynn Heitman, Macy Heitman, Mackenzie Hergott and Kaitlynn Cast were second in the 4x100.25 meter relay (1:03.19). In the 4x400 meter relay, Thayer won (4:34.25) with Paige Tietjen, Lilyana Watson, Pulliam and Escritt as team members (4:34.25). JaeLynn Watson was fourth in the high jump (4’4”) and Pulliam was fourth in the pole vault (8’6”).Macy Heitman was fifth in the discus (77’11”).For the boys, Colter Sinn was third in the 400 meter dash (:55.59) and Skylar Fisher was third in the 800 meters (2:16.71). Adam Lukert was third in the 1600 meters (4:55.29) and Fischer was fourth (5:03.85).Lukert won the 3200 meters in easy fashion, 11:09.57, with second place finishing with a time of 11:40.65.Murphy Sudbeck was second in the 110 meter hurdles (:17) while 4x100m relay team was third (:53.6). Team members were Cole Vorderstrasse, Brighton Hergott, Maddox VanSkiver and Kaleb Bonar. The 4x800m relay was top with a time of 9:17.09 with Fischer, Lukert, Justin Alexander and Jaxson Bowers as team members.Colter Sinn was second in the pole vault (11’) with Vorderstrasse finishing second in the shot put (52’ 7.5”).
