A slow start had Thayer Central down 6-14 by the end of the first quarter Friday night in football.
The next three quarters the Titans were firing on all cylinders shutting out Exeter-Milligan/Friend for each one as Thayer Central would score 22 points in the second, six points in the third and 12 points in the fourth for a 46-14 victory.
Thanks to his offensive line Jordan Mariska has now made it six straight games going for 100 yards or more as he had led the team with all rushing categories getting 23 carries for 194 yards and three rushing touchdowns, with one reception for three yards.
Will Heitmann completed five-of-seven passes and had a season and career high four touchdown passes with 76 yards. On the receiving end of these passes Jadyen Hissong would be leading team with three catches for 60 yards and three touchdowns. Grant Wiedel had one reception for a lucky 13 yards finding his way into the end-zone.
Another great defensive showing with a quartet of Titans reaching double digits with Gunner Mumford having 20 tackles, Cameron Schulte grabbing 15 tackles, causing one fumble and leading the team with two sacks, Nate Burd with 13 tackles, and Jayden Hissong having 11 tackles and one sack.
Two interceptions for the Titans came by the way of Brody Dengehardt, and Grant Wiedel in what was a sound game for Thayer Central to roll on with this momentum into next week hosting Freeman on Friday, October 7.
